Silvercore MC
Describtion
The "silvercore mc" has all qualities of an excellent high-end-transformer. We provide you the opportunity to choose four different types of transformers with a different transmission and impedance. So you are able to find the best connection for your MC-system. Moreover, we wind special transformers for particular MC cartridges.
We sell the following types:

100 Ohm / 1:10 - It is a common transformer for MC cartridges up to 40 ohm and a signal voltage between 250 and 750µV.

20 Ohm / 1:10 - It is for MC cartridges with a low resistance up to 10 ohm and a signal voltage between 250 and 750µV.

25 Ohm / 1:20 - It is for MC cartridges with a low resistance up to 12 ohm which need a higher voltage gain. That's why, we have signal voltages between 150 and 400µV.

10 Ohm / 1:30 - It is a transformer only for MC cartridges with an extrem low resistance data up to 3 ohm and only very little signal voltages up to 250µV.

SPU special - It is a special transformer for the Ortofon SPU.
Transformer
The used transformers are amorphous toroidal cores. We can totally go without internal resistors because off the high resonance frequency and the imaging of the frequency linear. As the result, the sound signal only flows through the transformer. Its benefit is, that the sound signal is not darkened additionally; and, therefore this sound is louder than when using a common transformer with the same transmission at the pre-amp.
It is a matter of course, that the transformers are capsuled separately in Mumetal to keep away any disturbing signals from them. Moreover, the transformer's input is symmetrically ungrounded but the output can be optionally changed with the ground-lift switch between ungrounded and grounded.
We wind the transformer with copper wire or 990 pure silver wire.
Case
The case is a solid plastic block . In this block the cavities for the transformers are milled in by CNC milling machines. Partial vibrations are disabled with the mechanical damping of the transformers. This effect shows the ideal construction of this case. We lacquer the cases in black or white. However, it is possible to choose another colour or piano lacquer (finish) but only with an additional charge.
The front and the back plates are made of highly polished stainless steel. We engrave these plates by hand to underline our products' high standard.
Terminals
We only use high-class gold or silver plated types with an isolation of teflon for our RCA plugs. Another positive detail is, that the ground jack can be connected with 6 mm pin plugs, loose wires or cable sockets.
